Singing in Ocean Grove, NJ.

This past weekend we performed at the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove, NJ. It is such a quaint and peaceful community. I look forward to this trip every opportunity we get to sing there. The Great Auditorium was built in 1894, seats about 6500 people, and is an all wooden structure. It is not air conditioned and has some of the most amazing acoustics!!! The pictures definitely don't do it or the beautiful town any justice, but they are still quite breathtaking!!!

This picture is of the little tent/houses that line the streets. The front of the home is made out of a tent material and then there is a little wooden structure in the back. It truly is gorgeous. It's one of the few neighborhoods that still leave their doors unlocked!!!

Independence Day

We headed up early Friday morning to spend the weekend at Nana & Papa's lake house... Steph, Chris, & the kids are coming too... The boys are so EXCITED and ready for a fun filled weekend... Jacque, Tommy, and the kids will be going to Leakey, Texas... You will be greatly missed :(

T-Ran the Tarantula

Yes, it's true.... Tarantulas do exist!!! This particular little guy was found right next door to OUR HOUSE!!!! We kept him for a couple of weeks and I finally got tired of feeding him live crickets and grasshoppers every morning so with great saddness (ABSOLUTE JOY) I let the little guy go...to HEAVEN!!!! J/K For anyone that knows me, I have arachnaphobia - something awful, but knowing that T-Ran was safely enclosed, I was able to relax a little and observe him. They really are amazing creatures and I found myself a little mesmerized by him... It is said that they make great pets.... We will never know!!! ;)
